Florian Model is an acomplished artist from the Art Academy Stuttgart where he graduated in the Rainer Ganahl Klasse which become shredded due to too many reasons that Daumenlutscher as a discoursive space about politics and fine art and in particualr the interrelationship between national and international trauma during unusual times - it was founded right when the Russian -Ukrainien conflict started - tries to figure out. As personal, interpersonal and political conflicts go hand in hand this gallery and this location operates on legal sand that has gone though the courts and was officially shut down.
Hence, the state of the space is "AS USUAL" an expression of a state that is more and more defined also by perfection, white cubism, and no money for the arts plus officlal doctrines of not mentioning facts by its names. Presidents and head of states and power have it harder and harder to appease their functions with their commitments as layed out in constitutions. Germany is located in the middle of massive conflicts that questoin the post world war two order and all aliences to keep war off shore or out of Europe have been challenged and this is not to ignore the fact that there have been massive changes in 1989 and while we speak and while i write.
Daumenlutscher is an artist run gallery and everybody is too lazy to do the work of cleaning or organziing mirroring the state of western societies who do not know what to do without immigratoin but are xenophobic to the core. Nobody even can clearly decide if Europe or the Middle East is in a war or not. Is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and its defense pact still active or not? NATO and the Euro and the European Union are cornerstones of a Block that has worked out of the ashes for peace in Europa after 2 World Wars has ruined the continent. Now, with the Russian Ukrainien conflict and the Israel Gaza conflict - the core of German's identity is related to this - and Trump in power and clearly canceling main commitments to the principle "one for all, all for one " in defense - the cards are now scattered the way this Gallery is scattered that is basically financed by the artist who leave the space some art work in exchange of a show.
Florian Model's show oscillated between his will and exclusive commitment to fine art and his will to be a film maker with the primitive means in our posessions. OUR means due to the high degree of professionalisaton of large industries, we the people, we the mobile phone holding artists who consume the world without being scared by "all of it." But time and space and life eats up on us and in this show a large scale love letter is depicted in a "show as it is" style. 15 minutes of a repeated daily life scene the way we know it from the early avant guard and the woman in the kitchen with the sound more or less as if or added or not yet added.
Model is highly aware of the futility of fighting monsters called AI or politics or the status of a culture that revolts without really much of an impact during times of stress. For this exhibition the artist presents 2 films and some time based works based on the destillation of some materials in a complicated recycling process that works with cleaning and fragility and time.
TEARS FROM COOCKING OR WHATEVER IT IS BU THE time is the same.. around the time of the opening 6 pm but recorded fro 15 min.. filmed by a fixed camera - the artist present below - the model appeared .... in domestic note.. the resonnance goes like a strike of allusions and associations through art history also a product of tech history.. and Model is part of this tech narration culture out of stuttgart .. art accademy .... a decade or so earlier. the here represented person is rather familar with geo politcal crissi that are currently about to be repeated. Poland is very much interested in ending a certain war that still ravages and keeps to kill many people ... and do not talk about german berlin history that says hello on nearly every subway station to remind you.. do not play with fire and misery
notice the video in the back and the mass in the front and the public who consists of mostly artists and people who have promising carriers in the arts - there is an upcoming opera singer on the left and two gallery artists and the artists in his down to earth sports outfit who greow up with computers phones ad nauseam.

no idea if there is a list of titles .. of works but it s a flux ....
these are note books and AS IS - drawings made into a book - scribbles and individual papers as recollected by people who live a life of reflection and hesitations and a history of bookmaking in their mind since Model was originally trained as a designer and never let his idea of working with the format of the book go - once a designer always a designer, once an artsist alwasy an artists and if you quit - the monster of oblvion eats you up like the gallery is not consumed by an idea of an White Cube - something this gallery is reflecting in its way of operating. how makes the rules, who decides who defends what idea for what purpose and at what kind of a price but yes. there below see his work on papers --- since he is highly sceptical and aware of the AI book making and amazon distribution systems. The numbers refer to the amount of these note books - Daumenlutscher logistics might call it LOGBOOKS OF love and sorrow and the state of affair - as USUSAL.
note the site that dominated the life of two Daumenlutscher artists : Stuttgart --- notebook number 46 - note that paper is on the way out and yet it persists in the way Stuttgart people cherish paper and the need to document with human dignity. In the sense of understanding that we are in the midle of a fundamental societal transformation that redefines our terminologies and our markets.

the third video .... with recycled texts and complicated and yet simple feed back loops that dealt wtith very little content but disambiguish between image and text. Sound or not - the picture is king, the sound was absorbed by the opening and can be developed in the mind of the beholder or not... but yes. the gallery was full of visitors.
the flexible sculpture - the flexible terminology ... the statistics of whatever .... but no --- is beuys really a sculputre ---- why fascists hate teachers ? here is the answer... the rest snaps if one insists to name things by its name ... hence the power to show or to present or to impose as sculputer... this sculputre snaps .... and the students snap but professors do not snap or does the world around them snap and they look as if snapped into the outside of the teaching machine... where we look back .... this pictures tells it all for those who remember STRANGE TEACHING by both of their teachers .. for staying low key... and skipping the academic hierarchies that come with power in the machine of the government who emplies state instructors at the highest level ... the teacher of the teacher and we have here three scuputres in one .. a walking teacher and one in the making Flo.... keeps EXPANDING THE WAY HE DOES .
the principle of the snail - take your house with you ... but that that is anotehr artist from a previous show.... note.. the gallery lacks the apparopriate funds and only people who understand that we have troubles with logics can show there.. and hence thaks to this sensitive master.. .some of the previously shown artist when MESHUGGE. FLIPPED Out.. and so did neibhbors and the state who invited DAUMENLUTSCHER to the court.. and the bills are still running on the lawyer account but hte case is twice lost....
digital narration.. was actually the class he attended but who doesn't know the code - we all know the code or pretend to kow the code -- CODE IS APPARENTLY WHERE THE BILLIONAIRES ARE minted within 3 years and money was a main topic and still is in the life of artist... and so is food... hence hnece... there is food insecurity in the life of artists but housing insecurity is worth ..and then we have collective insecurities the way we have collective consciousness that can be apparently reshaped by events... if you really ask why influencers are famous and why they are everything there is in the life of people who might be surprised........ gamers ... gamers survive... as i mentioned the new generational shift ... some holding on beyond their clock.. some ahead of their clock.. but yes... there is a way ... to make up the meaning -- crack the code or decipher whether it is really just what belongs to the world of the year: slop “digital content of low quality that is produced usually in quantity by means of artificial intelligence.”
the in-balance of the gallery was accentuated and re arranged by the artists who was made aware of so many artists who's afterlife was matraze like - from earlier times: art history and in line with war zone scenarios that actually do run thorught this berlin space.... lost in court, financed by a loser in court, who keeps trying and relies on a dubious past in regard to economic well being - a covid victim - the time Daumenlutscher opened as an answer to what happened in the political department of the Stuttgart Academy. forgotten times remembered and blown over like another season in so many seasons till the breath of end is near - long ways to hope for a process to continue. But yes, Models show is WORK IN PROGRESS stop frame instant screen shut with or wihtout the many misspellings that enter here the text because the assumption is nobody reads - since people only love to scroll and rip up and swipe left or right. gone with the wind,the page, the girlfriend before or after but the after life of this planet is also a bit challenged by the current conflicts which looms over everybody's neck but Europe has endured worse.
